Senior Session// Madison

Not too long ago, I took my friend's senior pictures.

 She is beautiful.

 A perfect subject.

The light was delicious. Leaving us with lovely, hazy, autumn photos.

 "Flowers in your hair..."

Autumn crept up on us. This was a perfect photo shoot to end the season with.

She too likes photography. Check out her blog!

Of course, I'm still learning. There are things I can look back on and remember to do or not do next time.
But we both had fun. That's what matters!

"It was November- the month of crimson sunsets, parting birds, deep, sad hymns of the sea, passionate wind-songs in the pines.... let that great sweeping wind blow the fogs out of her soul."

Creatures of the Air

Today was beautiful, the sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I decided to take my zoom lens out again and see what little birdies might be out.

 Proud robin...

Spring is certainly just around the corner! The trees are full of buds and robins are everywhere....

A bit of black and white for ya....
Cute little woodpecker!

I am so thankful it's finally warming up! I just hope it'll stay that way. Sometime soon we would like to go to our local conservation center, so that's a great photo opportunity!

What did you think of these pics?

Odds & Ends {3}

As you my have noticed, I am way behind on my posts. I am sorry.
But I have a good excuse. I have been busy learning lots of new thing. I  have learned that I can not take "Double Exposure" shots on my camera, which I am really bummed about. But I have found a way to overlay images on PicMonkey, which is similar to Double Exposure, just not as cool... I also found out about Highlight Priority, my new best friend...

So....
Lets cut to the chase....

 Bokeh... I didn't add it....

 Icy trees...

Snow Flakes....

I new they are few, but I hope you enjoyed seeing them...
Of course the ice and snow has long since melted, but it was still just so beautiful. Especially when the sun came and all the trees glittered silver in it's rays....

Hagen

Odds & Ends {2}

So many random things! Rain drops on the tree branches, my sister, and coffee... What more can I say?

My sister...

Snowy roof.

Street light.

Coffee, chocolate muffin, and Beowulf...
This was at the wonderful coffee shop where my sister works!

Haunted trees...

The last leaf of Autumn...

This one's not as good...

I was trying to get the squirrel but it focused in on the tree instead... :)

Well, Photographers and photography lovers, I must go, but I hope you enjoyed these amateur pics! :)

Hagen

Autumn...

Summer ends....
                        and Autumn begins....

The air is crisp and cool,
the flowers wither and fall, their seeds waiting until next Summer to sprout.
The leafs change colors from green to red, orange, yellow and then brown, and they float on the wind and scatter on the sidewalk. School has begun, but there is always time to play in the leaves .....
Some days the clouds cover the blue sky and make it grey. Other days the sun peeks out, shining it's golden light on the pumpkins and things from the garden.
The geese make their way to somewhere warmer while we wrap in sweaters and scarves.
The days get shorter and the nights longer.

Autumn is just another season of life,
it comes and goes. And just as the leaves that fall, it will fade away
          just as Summer did.
and then it will be Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn again.

Love,
Hagen
