Bits of Spring

There are so many flowers blooming, birds flying, seeds in the garden sprouting.

There is so much color and warmth and life.
                                        It's beautiful.
 I feel alive in Spring.
There's so much to see, so much to do.

Spring and Summer are my seasons. It's so refreshing coming out of cold, colorless winter and into a new realm of adventure and golden hues.

Oh, Dear Spring

Oh, dear Spring, I have waited for you for many long and dreary days.
Are you finally here? Here to stay?
I see little daffodils popping up.
    Ladybugs coming out of hiding.

 SUNSHINE. Lovely sunshine.
             Blue skies.
                  Rain! Not snow, but rain.

I doubted you ever coming back again. Especially because of the sleet and brisk wind that swept up to us the moon of yesterday.

But the sunshine has returned, and the birds are chirping once again.

Yes, I do believe you, dear Spring, are here to stay awhile.
Love,
Hagen

Lovely Old Summer Days

The weather is dreary and cold.
I am sitting by the fireplace dreaming of the days of old.
(I'm a Poet, and didn't know it!)

As I sit, memories of Summer drift back to me.

Dew drops, glistening in the sun...

 Butterflies, bees and dragon flies...

 Lovely sun-rays and sunsets...

All my recent photos are to grey to edit today.
I will count this as a New Year's post and this is the Recap of 2014.
      Pretty lousy recap... Oh well.

Hagen

Senior Session// Madison

Not too long ago, I took my friend's senior pictures.

 She is beautiful.

 A perfect subject.

The light was delicious. Leaving us with lovely, hazy, autumn photos.

 "Flowers in your hair..."

Autumn crept up on us. This was a perfect photo shoot to end the season with.

She too likes photography. Check out her blog!

Of course, I'm still learning. There are things I can look back on and remember to do or not do next time.
But we both had fun. That's what matters!

"It was November- the month of crimson sunsets, parting birds, deep, sad hymns of the sea, passionate wind-songs in the pines.... let that great sweeping wind blow the fogs out of her soul."

Floral Colors

I am happy. So happy I just might cry. Or laugh. I'm not sure.
The flowers are blooming. The grass is green. Spring has finally come!

A beautiful "Paper White."

This is a Flowering Quince blossom. It took us so long to figure out what it was. Someone told us it was a pear tree and we kinda left it at that for awhile but it isn't bearing any fruit. I"m grateful for internet!

These are just a few blossoms hanging out in our yard.
I'm totally backed up. I have so many folders of pictures to go through. It's going to be a rainy week so maybe I'll get caught up....

Blessings,
Hagen
