Bits of Spring

There are so many flowers blooming, birds flying, seeds in the garden sprouting.

There is so much color and warmth and life.
                                        It's beautiful.
 I feel alive in Spring.
There's so much to see, so much to do.

Spring and Summer are my seasons. It's so refreshing coming out of cold, colorless winter and into a new realm of adventure and golden hues.

Oh, Dear Spring

Oh, dear Spring, I have waited for you for many long and dreary days.
Are you finally here? Here to stay?
I see little daffodils popping up.
    Ladybugs coming out of hiding.

 SUNSHINE. Lovely sunshine.
             Blue skies.
                  Rain! Not snow, but rain.

I doubted you ever coming back again. Especially because of the sleet and brisk wind that swept up to us the moon of yesterday.

But the sunshine has returned, and the birds are chirping once again.

Yes, I do believe you, dear Spring, are here to stay awhile.
Love,
Hagen

Floral Colors

I am happy. So happy I just might cry. Or laugh. I'm not sure.
The flowers are blooming. The grass is green. Spring has finally come!

A beautiful "Paper White."

This is a Flowering Quince blossom. It took us so long to figure out what it was. Someone told us it was a pear tree and we kinda left it at that for awhile but it isn't bearing any fruit. I"m grateful for internet!

These are just a few blossoms hanging out in our yard.
I'm totally backed up. I have so many folders of pictures to go through. It's going to be a rainy week so maybe I'll get caught up....

Blessings,
Hagen

Before the Storm

Storms have always fascinated me. The lightning, the thunder, the rain. It is just so beautiful, especially the clouds that form before and after it.
I guess it's kinda obvious that we have had a stormy week. And more storms are to come... but it's fine with me!

 They look like waves...

The sun shone as long as it could just before the clouds swallowed it's light and burst it through their vapor like beings.

Isn't the sky just so beautiful and amazing! All of God's creation is just so eccentric to me, but the heavens, I think, are the most epic in my eyes.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Psalm 19:1
How true this is! :D

Signs of Spring

Though yesterday was cloudy and rainy, I decided to go outside. I have been tired of being cooped up, fighting the cold. And of course, I usually end up going out despite the cold and rain, anyway.

The daffodils are a clear sign of Spring, and they are popping up everywhere!

 Some have even already opened...

Rain, another sign of the Blooming Season and it is so refreshing!

I don't know what these sprouts are, but they are a beautiful red.

Green leaves and a broken brick.

Even the tiniest flowers are opened. These little blossoms are a beautiful, electric blue.

The trees and bushes also are beginning to have little, baby leaves and buds.

Here is a pic I got while marveling at the signs of Spring. Layla loved it so much, so I just went ahead and threw it in. It is a door knob of an old abandoned house...

The grass withers and the flowers fade but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8
I thought of this verse while exploring the wonders of our Creator. The pretty daffodils and the lush green grass will, in fact fade and wither one day. But God and His Word will stand forever. It is a nice thought. Life can seem so short and fragile but God has always, and will always be there.

Blessing,
Hagen

Creatures of the Air

Today was beautiful, the sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I decided to take my zoom lens out again and see what little birdies might be out.

 Proud robin...

Spring is certainly just around the corner! The trees are full of buds and robins are everywhere....

A bit of black and white for ya....
Cute little woodpecker!

I am so thankful it's finally warming up! I just hope it'll stay that way. Sometime soon we would like to go to our local conservation center, so that's a great photo opportunity!

What did you think of these pics?
